Hello it's KaB! My real name is Kaley Blackwell. I have been drawing all of my life. Probably since I was 3. Everyday I eat, sleep, and breathe art. Whether it is from my imagination, or it is a commission that someone has asked me to paint, I love to paint it.
When you look at a portrait what do you see? Eyes? A mouth? A nose? What if you look beyond that? Besides basic anatomy, the emotion of the image is very important. When I paint or draw a portrait, I want to make it believable. For example, the painting on the right, you believe that the girls are actually happy and enjoying themselves. When you decide to paint a picture, you want to successfully make your viewers feel the way you want them to feel through your image.
Through this website I hope to teach you new drawing tricks, and how to paint like I do through videos and tutorials. I also plan to post fun speed paintings and drawings.
